On Sunday 23rd July 2023, Gerald F6HBI & Leopold F4IYY/P, two radio amateurs from Nice in France, reached the summit of Mont Bégo and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 92 contacts in total working on the 2m, 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mont Bégo is 2872 metres (9423 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
