On Sunday 12th March 2023, Riccardo IZ1GDB, a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Monte Fraiteve and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 36 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Monte Fraiteve is 2701 metres (8862 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
