On Tuesday 5th July 2022 Claudio IX1IHR/P a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Punta di Moucrons and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 36 contacts in total working on the 20 and 30 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Punta di Moucrons is 2507 metres (8225 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
