On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 08:49 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Fritz HB9CYX/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from the Natur park Thal, Balstahl (SO) (HBFF-0040), on the 40m amateur radio band.
The Natur park Thal, Balstahl (SO) (HBFF-0040), is a Regional Nature Park covering 13,939.3 hectares, located in the Solothun Canton, to the south of the city of Basel in Switzerland.
Fritz was at the summit of Roggenflue (998 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 46 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
