On Friday 29th March 2024 at 07:34 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Chris SP5DU/P, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Natura 2000 Siennica Różana (SPFF-2192), on the 40m amateur radio band. Chris made a total of 186 contacts while at the reserve.
Natura 2000 Siennica Różana (SPFF-2192), is a protected area of 183.1600 hectares located in the Chelm and Krasnystaw Counties in the Lublin Voivodeship in the east of Poland. It was designated in 2011 as a Special Habitat Protection Area and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
The Natura 2000 network aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
