On Tuesday 9th August 2022, Hans HB9BQU/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Pizzo della Valletta (Südgipfel) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 26 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
