On Wednesday 2nd August 2023, Fabio IK2LEY/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Pizzo delle Pietre and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 54 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m and 17m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Pizzo delle Pietre is 2507 metres (8225 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
