On Tuesday 12th September 2023, Artur I/SP9WLG/P, a radio amateur from Poland, reached the summit of Croda del Vallone Bianco and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 15 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of Croda del Vallone Bianco is 2687 metres (8816 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
