On Monday 1st August 2022 Carine HB9FZC and Rene HB9NBG/P two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Pointe de Drône and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 36 contacts in total working on the 40 amateur radio band.

The summit of Pointe de Drône is 2950 metres (9678 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
