On Sunday 30th July 2023, Carine HB9FZC/P & Rene HB9NBG/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Bec Rond and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 39 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Bec Rond is 2563 metres (8409 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
