Preston Bus No. 40004 – X339 NNO

No. 40004 is a 2001 Dennis Trident 2 with Alexander ALX400 which has H45/30F seating configuration.

No. 40001 was delivered new to the South East London & Kent Bus Company

The-Dennis Trident 2 the chassis type which went on to be developed into hugely successful ADL Enviro400 series which has seen many adaptions including a fully electric powertrain to allow operation in towns and cities which are introducing Clean Air Zones (CAZs) to be meet the challenges of net zero emissions.

This 2001 version of the Dennis Trident 2 is a low floor double-decker with two axles and the Cummins ISCe Euro III engine mounted transversely on the right side.

Preston Bus is part of the Rotala Group which also owns Diamond Bus (North West) Limited which operates bus services in nearby Bolton having taken over operations from Stagecoach Manchester.
