On Friday 1st July 2022 Kobayashi 7M4QZE/1 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Ryoukamisan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Ryoukamisan is 1723 metres (5683 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
