On Monday 5th June 2023, Tsutomu JJ1XGO/1, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Hafuusan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 4 contacts in total working on the 70cm and 2m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hafuusan is 2318 metres (7605 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Hafuusan is in the Yamanashi Prefecture on Honshu Island.
