On Friday 1st September 2023, Daniel PY2TDB, a radio amateur from São Paulo, Brazil reached the summit of Serra de José Martins and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 23 contacts in total working on the 10m amateur radio band.
The summit of Serra de José Martins is 1475 metres (4839 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
