On Friday 8th July 2022 Nick G4OOE/P a radio amateur from England reached the summit of Skiddaw and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Skiddaw is 930 metres (3051 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
