Derwent Water

Derwentwater, AKA Derwent Water, is a lake in the Lake District in NW England, south of Keswick. It's in the unitary authority of Cumberland within the ceremonial county of Cumbria. It's the 3rd largest lake by area. It has a length of 4.6 km, a max width of 1.91 km, and an area of 5.4 sq km. Its primary inflow and outflow is the River Derwent, which flows through Bassenthwaite Lake before reaching the Irish Sea at Workington. There are several islands within the lake, 1 inhabited. This is a place of considerable scenic value. It's surrounded by fells, and many of the slopes facing the lake are extensively wooded.
