St Martins-within-Ludgate (Birds Eye)
Following the Great Fire of 1666 the church was destroyed and was rebuilt in 1677-84 by Sir Christopher Wren. The "within" in the church name indicates that it was within the walls of the City of London and the Roman Wall is located at the western edge of the church.
