On Saturday 20th August 2022, four radio amateurs reached the summit of Standing Indian and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 61 contacts in total working on the 2metre VHF and the 40, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF radio bands.
The summit of Standing Indian is 1676 metres (5499 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
