On Wednesday 24th August 2022, Clyde W1PTS a radio amateur from Fairview, NC reached the summit of Wine Spring Bald and activated this summit on the radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 6 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
