On Tuesday 23rd April 2024, Tim GM5OLD/P, a radio amateur from south-west England, reached the summit of Stob Choire Claurigh and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 51 contact in total working on the 2m, 40m and 10m bands.
The summit of Stob Choire Claurigh is 1177 metres (3862 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
