On Saturday 7th October 2023, Rudy 9A3R/P, a radio amateur from Croatia, reached the summit of Velika Javornica and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 46 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m and 12m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Velika Javornica is 1375 metres (4511 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
