On Saturday 1st October 2022, David KJ7QPD, a radio amateur from Tucson, AZ reached the summit of Wahl Knoll and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 56 contacts in total working on the 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Wahl Knoll is 2977 metres (9767 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
