On 14 JUL 2016, Bastille Day, the suspect drove a truck full of weapons and explosives through the crowded Promenade des Anglais while firing upon the crowd and driving over and killing a reported 77 people and injuring over 100 others. French police successfuly stopped the rampage by shooting the driver dead.
