Sha'ar HaAmakim is a kibbutz in Northern Israel. For over 50 years, the kibbutz mainly produced sunflower seeds and fruit. In recent years, production switched to focus on manufacturing solar water heaters.
It was at this kibbutz, in 1963, that Senator Bernie Sanders spent several months working in order to support the new country.
