On Friday 14th July 2023, Joe KX0Y, a radio amateur from Erie, CO reached the summit of this peak and became the first to activate it on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of this peak is 4187 metres (13737 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
