On Sunday 24th March 2024, Brian BX2AKP, a radio amateur from Taiwan reached the summit of 奇萊主山 (Qí Lái Zhǔ Shān) (BV/NA-007) and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 15m amateur radio band.
The summit of 奇萊主山 (Qí Lái Zhǔ Shān) (BV/NA-007) is 3560 metres (11680 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
