Italica was an ancient Roman city in modern-day Spain. It was also the birthplace of Roman Emperors Trajan and Hadrian. The modern city of Santiponce now occupies most of the old city.

The city was founded in 206 BC by the great Roman general Publius Cornelius Scipio to settle his army from the Second Punic Wars against Hannibal and the Carthaginians. The name "Italica" comes from the army's origins of Italy.

The city is now a popular tourist destination. The ruins include an amphitheatre and many more buildings.
