The Boeing 737 "Landshut" (D-ABCE) was in service fror the German Lufthansa from 1970 to 1985 when it was sold.

After having had 8 owners it was taken out of service in 2008 and stored in Fortaleze, Brazil.

On October 13. 1977 as Flight 181 it was hijacked on route from Palma de Mallorca to Frankfurt/Main by 4 terrorists. The captain, Jürgen Schumann was killed by the terrorists at Aden Airport October 16.

On October 18. at Mogadishu Airport the plane was entered by German anti-terror corps GSG-9 in command of Ulrich Wegener killing 3 of the terrorists. The fourth, a woman, survived and lives now in Oslo, Norway.

In May 2017 the German Government bought it from the Brazilians for around 20,000 Euro and after dismantling of the plane in September 2017 it was transported back to Germany on September 23. by two Antonov An-124 Ruslan transporters to Friedrichshafen where it will be undergo restauration and get it's Lufthansa look again.

It will be ready as museum object at Friedrichshafen at Autumn 2019.
