The conehead sculpture appeared in 2021 at the juncture of Leake Avenue, Eagle Street and Oak Street in the Riverbend neighborhood of New Orleans. Sarah Nelson is the name of the artist who created the large cone-shaped, papier-mâché sculpture. The sculpture is a spoof on the King Cone sculpture which appeared in NOLA on Washington Ave earlier in 2021.
