Former Tramway Terminus

Former Tramway Terminus (StreetView)
The Bolton Corporation Tramway terminus on the Tonge Moor Route – ‘T’ was outside the Royal Oak Hotel in Bradshaw at the junction of Tonge Moor Road (A676) and Turton Road (B6472).

When buses replaced trams after WWII the terminus of Route No.45, which replace Route 'T' (Later 645) was eventually moved further north along the A675 to the other side of Bradshaw Brook.

Bolton’s last tram service ran on 29th March 1947 on the Tonge Moor Route.
