West of Wolgograd, former Stalingrad, is the German cemetery Rossoshka with around 50,000 fallen German soldiers from the Battle of Stalingrad or from POW camps.

The cemetery contains of the old trapez-shaped gravesite with 600 soldiers made by the German Wehrmacht during the battle of Stalingrad. To the right is the giant mass grave with names of 24,427 on the ring around it. The ring is 150 meters in diameter and up to 3,5 meters tall.

Next to the ring are 107 cubic blocks with the names of nearly 103,234 missing soldiers placed. each cube is 1,50 x 1,50 x 1,35 maters in 8 pieces.

To the south is the Russian cemetery.
