On Friday 22nd July 2022 a group of French radio amateurs using the callsign TM1SOTA reached the summit of Mont Saint-Honorat activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign “TM1SOTA” was being used to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary of SOTA.
They made 55 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 60, 40, 30, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mont Saint-Honorat is 2520 metres (8268 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
