On Saturday 16th July 2022 a radio amateur, who was a member of the SOTA F group, using the special callsign TM15SOTA, reached the summit of Mont Saint-Sauver and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign “TM15SOTA” was being used to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary of SOTA F group.
They made 45 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mont Saint-Sauveur is 2711 metres (8894 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
