On Sunday 16th July 2023, Riccardo IZ1GDB/6, a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Monte della Valletta and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 28 contacts in total working on the 20m and amateur radio band.
The summit of Monte della Valletta is 2750 metres (9022 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
