On Sunday 17th July 2022 a radio amateur, who was a member of the SOTA F group, using the special callsign TM15SOTA, reached the summit of Cîme de la Lombarde and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign “TM15SOTA” was being used to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary of SOTA F group.
They made 19 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Cîme de la Lombarde is 2800 metres (9186 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
