On Thursday 17th August 2023, Lor W6LOR, a radio amateur from La Canada, CA reached the summit of Johnson Peak and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Lor made 20 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m and 17m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mount Anna Mills is 3677 metres (12064 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
