On 3 Jan 2015, the MV Hoegh Osaka was deliberately run aground on the Bramble Bank between the coasts of Southampton and the Isle of Wight in order to prevent the cargo ship from capsizing. The ship listed 50-degrees, damaging 1,200 Jaguars and Land Rovers, 65 Mini Coopers, 105 JCB diggers, and one £260,000 Rolls Royce Wraith, all on their way for delivery to the Middle East.
