On Sunday 4th December 2022, JKE7MHN, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Myoujingatake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 70 cm UHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Myoujingatake is 1595 metres (5233 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
Myoujingatake is in the Tochigi Prefecture on Honshu Island.
