On Saturday 23rd July 2022 Phillip KJ7OGF a radio amateur from Goodyear, AZ reached the summit of Oracle Ridge and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Oracle Ridge is 2345 metres (7694 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
