Pedro Calderón de la Barca (full name: Pedro Calderón de la Barca y Barreda González de Henao Ruiz de Blasco y Riaño) was a Spanish dramatist, poet, and writer. He was one of the most renown writers of the Spanish Golden Age during the seventeenth century, being particularly highly regarded for his plays.
