RAF Waddington, located near Waddington village in Lincolnshire, England, is a key Royal Air Force station. It is the hub for the RAF's Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) operations and houses various aircraft including the Shadow R1, and RC-135W Rivet Joint, and is the operating base for the RAF's MQ-9 Reaper drones. As of October 2022, it also hosts the RAF's Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. The station has a rich history, having been established during World War I as a training station and playing significant roles in subsequent military operations and conflicts.
