Rocky Valley Bridge

A pedestrian bridge which spans the ‘Rocky Valley’ and joins the two sections of the Woodland Ridge path.

The bridge was constructed ahead of the 1986 National Garden Festival which was hosted by the city of Stoke-on-Trent.

The site chosen for the festival was a former Steelworks which had closed in the late 1970’s. Following the festival, the site was converted into a retail, leisure and business park which is known as Festival Park.

The bridge is located in the centre of a wooded area which splits the retail/leisure area from the business area of the park.

Many of the features of the Garden Festival remain in this part of the park and it is a very pleasant green space close to the centre of Stoke-on-Trent.
