‘The Pace of Recovery’ is a stainless-steel sculpture of a Swan mounted a plinth which slopes at an angle of c.40 degrees The Swan is depicted as ever taking off from a body of water with its neck and wings extended.

The sculpture is situated on a mini roundabout in Etruria at the junction of Marina Drive and Festival Park.

The sculpture was commissioned by St. Modwens Properties PLC and is the work of UK-based artist Francis Comila. It was installed on the roundabout in March 1994 and was intended to symbolise the regeneration of the Festival Park area.
