"Royal Winton"

This historic sign for “Royal Winston” pottery, which was a brand name of Grimwade Limited, is on a side wall of Winton House on Stoke Road in Shelton.

Royal Winton was produced by Grimwade's at their Winton Pottery which was opened in the mid-1880’s and produced earthenware and fine bone china tableware.

Although no longer owned by the pottery company the building has retained the ‘Winton’ name.
