Scale model of Queen Margrethe II's tomb at Roskilde Cathedral

Since January 14. 1972 Margrethe II is the Queen of Denmark after her father King Frederik IX died January 14. 1972.

The glass monument was designed by Danish sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard and was compleeted in April 2018. It cost 29 million DKK (4.5 million USD).

Only Queen Margrethe will be laid to rest here. Her husband, Prince Henrik, who died February 13. 2018 was cremated and ½ of his ashes was placed at Fredensborg Palace and the other half was scattered at sea around Denmark.
