Miklós Radnóti (May 5, 1909 - November 4 or November 9 1944) was one of the greatest Hungarian poets who was killed during WW2 because of his Jewish origins. He has many sculptures in Hungary, this one was inaugurated in 1980 at the place where he is supposed to have died during a death march of Jews in 1944.
