On Thursday 10th August 2023, Carine HB9FZC/P & Rene HB9NBG/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Spechhorn / Pizzo di Antigine and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 26 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
