Some Moai in Rapa Nui are deteriorating, and the inhabitants are trying to find the most similar kind of rock to restore their statues. They traveled the world and found the most similar to be a tuff in Vitorchiano. Rapa Nui and Vitorchiano have now a partnership and Vitorchiano as been gifted with an authentic Moai, the only one outside of Easter Island. (by courtesy ndrqu at GEC)
