A cement truck is seen here in the pre-staging area of this 1/4 mile drag strip. No, he's not about to light up the tires and make a run down the track. He is part of a crew making repairs to the track surface.
It opened in 1956 and has operated continuously ever since, making it one of the oldest tracks in the country. Each year it hosts the World Series of Drag Racing.
