Located at the Juniata County Fairgrounds, this 1/2 mile dirt oval race track opened in 1938. Sprint cars and stock cars race here weekly on Saturday evenings. Demolition derbies and truck and tractor pulls are also occasionally held here.
The marquis event on the track's annual schedule is the Tuscarora 50, which is held in September during the county fair. The prestigious World of Outlaws travelling sprint car series will hold an event in October 2014 after an absence of 10 years.
This is one of three full-time 410 cubic inch sprint car tracks in central Pennsylvania. The drivers in this region are nicknamed the "Pennsylvania Posse". The nickname is a poke at the World of Outlaws, who often struggle against the local heroes.
Bing's satellite photo was taken on a race day. Several race teams can be seen parked in the pits.
